“詐騙集團” 的英文怎麼說?

”詐騙” 的動詞是 scam [skæm], 它也可以當名詞

比如: The woman on the phone tried to scam me.

(電話中的女子試圖向我進行詐騙)

I got a scam phone call. (我接到詐騙電話)

The old lady was scammed for a million dollars. (老太太被詐騙了一百萬)

進行詐騙的人就是 scammer

The scammer told the old lady to transfer 50 thousand dollars on the ATM.

(詐騙份子叫老太太用提款機轉帳五萬元)

而 ”詐騙集團” 是 scam gang (gang [gæŋ] 原為 ”幫派” 之意)

或是 a gang of scammers

比如: The police cracked down a scam gang. (警方破獲了一個詐騙集團)

”詐騙電話” 就是前面例句裡的 scam phone call / scam call

”詐騙電郵” 當然就是 scam e-mail

但它和 junk mail 或 spam (垃圾郵件) 不一樣哦

五六年前全世界各地都有人接到自稱為奈及利亞王室成員或政府官員寫來的電郵

宣稱自己標到奈及利亞政府的大工程, 但要先付一大筆保證金

到處向人詐騙, 告訴人家只要先匯一筆錢給他, 就可以成為合夥人

等他領到政府的巨額工程款後會立刻歸還, 並可以分紅

直到現在都還有人陸續上當

這就是著名的 the Nigerian scam

變成全世界都知道的一種詐騙手法
